My stay at The Thousand Kyoto was fantastic overall. I loved the modern and spacious room, and the location near Kyoto Station made it easy to explore the area. However, the dining options during breakfast were somewhat limited, which was a little disappointing.

I was impressed by the spaciousness and modern design of my room. It was beautifully furnished and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom layout, with its wet room, was a unique touch, although I wasn’t sure I fully understood its purpose.

The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. I particularly appreciated how they helped me secure restaurant reservations, including one at a Michelin-starred hotel. Their proactive approach made me feel well taken care of, especially when the weather got tricky.

The hotel's location couldn't be better for travelers using public transport. Plus, it felt a bit removed from the hustle and bustle, which was a nice change. It was just a short walk from Kyoto Station, making it really easy to get around.

While the breakfast buffet was decent, the variety of options left a bit to be desired. The food quality was good, but I think they could definitely enhance the breakfast choices to appeal to more international travelers.

The amenities were great, including a well-equipped fitness center that I enjoyed using during my stay. I appreciated the convenience of laundry services too, though it was a bit pricey.

My stay at The Thousand Kyoto was a mix of high points and a few letdowns. The beautiful architecture and modern design really stood out, plus the hotel's location next to Kyoto Station made it super convenient for exploring. However, I found the service could use some improvement, as there were moments when it felt a bit impersonal and rigid. Overall, it was a nice experience but not without its flaws.

My room was clean and modern, with iPad controls for lighting and temperature, which was pretty cool. It was a bit small for working, but the decor made up for it.

While the staff were friendly, the service often felt lacking in personal touch. Simple requests like room service took longer than expected, which was frustrating.

Breakfast was good but a little chaotic. I found the selection limited and had to wait in line for coffee, which wasn’t ideal for a quick start to the day.

Facilities like room service and the spa were available, but I didn’t use them much. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, though it could have been better organized.

My room was spacious and comfortable, featuring convenient high-tech amenities like an iPad for controlling the lights and temperature. However, there were some frustrating service shortcomings, such as unclear communication regarding my luggage and the breakfast system, which left a less than perfect impression overall.
